We recently had our Christmas function, earlier than usual, as Dr Lai is off to the USA for some continuing professional education as well as a visit to his in-laws in Wisconsin. We wish Dr Lai a safe trip and a wonderful holiday. Here is a little happy snap from the function as we look forward to an even bigger event next year!

Those of you who have been to see us recently would have noticed a new face in the surgery. Kara is our new assistant and she now replaces Kate, who left in November to pursue other interests.

In September, Lucy Dodd joined our practice as our new Receptionist/Practice Manager. Lucy's extensive experience and love for her work have made the first few months of her appointment very easy for us and the practice now feels pretty much complete. With this great team on board, we look forward to the New Year with great excitement as we prepare for expansion of the practice, but we won't say much more about it just yet.

In July, Tijana will be returning to the practice one day per week on Fridays, starting from July 4th. Her hours will be between 8am and 2pm. We are now taking bookings for these days, so if you want to reserve an appointment and catch up with Tijana, please give us a call on 9232 6367.

To accommodate the increasing number of your calls and enquiries and to ensure you are all duly reminded of your appointments, we are currently looking to employ a client coordinator/ receptionist. We are hoping that a new member of staff will join us in the next few weeks. In the meantime, we ask for your patience and understanding if we are unable to take all your calls. Please leave a message on our answering machine and Kate, Hendrik or Tijana will get back to you before the end of the day.

We are pleased to welcome into our family Miss Kate Franklin, who is now assisting us full time. She is a seasoned dental assistant with plenty of experience in the dental field and a very kind manner. We enjoy having her on board and we trust you will too.

Kate has replaced Jasmin, who left in March to have a family. We congratulate Jasmin and her husband and wish them all the very best for the future.

Dr Tijana Nesic-Fisher and her husband Guy Fisher were overjoyed to welcome their little baby daughter, Charlie Fisher, who arrived into this world on January 17th just after 10pm

As some of you may already know, our Principal Dentist, Dr Tijana Nesic-Fisher is expecting a little baby girl in late January 2008. She is now getting to the tail-end of her pregnancy and feels that she needs to cut down her working week a little, to get prepared for the joys of motherhood.

We have enlisted the help of our new Associate Dentist, Dr Hendrik Lai, to help Dr Nesic-Fisher through this time. We hope this is a beginning of a very successful Associateship and then Partnership between Dr Lai and Dr Nesic-Fisher.

As always, we encourage you to send us feedback (by phone, e-mail or via website form) on our services and where you think we can improve. This will help us keep up the high standards of service we have been striving to provide.

As of October 8th, our clients will have the pleasure of having not one, but two dentists at their disposal.

Dr Hendrik Lai has joined our practice and is currently working Mondays,Tuesdays and Wednesdays. He will be available five days per week as of January 2008.

We strongly encourage you to meet Dr Lai, who is a keen cosmetic dentist with impressive credentials from the Las Vegas Institute and other imminent cosmetic dentistry institutes from the USA. You can find out more about Dr Lai in his bio in our staff section.

In April, we celebrated our first year anniversary at the lovely Watershed Bar in Darling Harbour. Thank you to all the guests who attended on such a cold night, we hope you had a great time!

March saw a departure of our assistant Melanie Lawley. She has relocated back to her home town of Woi Woi in the Central Coast with her partner Tony and we wish her all the best for the future.
